I noticed the charge on my credit card. ACT Community Services ON 888-732-9273 for $8.57. As I live in PEI, I immediately thought it was posted in error. I recalled that amount from our recent visit to the swimming pool, so I called the facility to confirm. It turns out that our community centre, uses a new system for processing payments. Via the ACTIVE Community Services. Mystery solved!

Arts Umbrella in Vancouver uses the Active Network's Registration / Credit and Debit Card Processing Services, so the descriptor on my card statement says ACT-THE-ACTIVE-NETWORK-888-732-9273-ON. The charge was not immediately recognizable when viewing my statement, but it is legit.

This charge on my card was for my monthly pool pass at the rec center.

I had this show up on my card. When I read the above I remembered that I had paid for a park permit fee for a ladies group that I belong to.
