BB *SPACE FOUNDATION 866-992-3374, CA

This charge appears if you have donated to a charity or something similar. They post charges for walk-a-thons and other charitable events.

I just got charged $100 on my credit card that I did not authorize. It came from an organization named "BLK*Asian Counseling A" using the same phone number as others listed for 866-992-3374. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge as something I don't recognize.

Thank you for the information. I too was wondering what this charge was for. The statement above helped a lot, especially the one that said the charity is stated after the "BB". Sure enough, mine said BLK*MAW NC, which stood for "Make A Wish North Carolina". Thank you!

I just posted here on 6/30/14 that the charge was unknown from a source listed as ""BLK*Asian Counseling A". I contacted my VISA card company to inform them. They called the 866-992-3374 number to find out who they were and then VISA called me this morning to verify that the charge was based on a charity event I participated in 6 weeks ago which they described in detail. Argh...True...this turned out to NOT be a fraudulent use of my card after all but the problem is that the name of the source listed on the charge was not the same the charity event that I participated in so it wasn't clear about the connection. Blackbaud or BB was listed on the charge but that wasn't stated at the charity event that this would appear on our credit cards. I paid the bill but will inform charity organizers about this so they know to include that info for future events so there are no surprises on people's bills.

It IS fraud!! On 7/1/14 my visa card security company called me to inform me that there were 6 questionable charges, one of them looked like this on my statement. "BLK*LUPUS FOUND - GA 866-992-3374 CA". I did not buy or do anything to justify these charges. It looks like a donation to a charity but they are NOT!!!!!!!!

"BB" stands for Blackbaud, and they are the service that verifies the charity. The charity is stated after the "BB"

BB NATURAL RESOURCES - 866-992-3374 CA. This was for Maine Natural Resources Council donation.

Don't believe the ppl when calling the 866-992-3374 number on your statement. they just try to make you believe its something you agreed to pay! Call your bank/card company and report it!
