I had a charge on my credit card from this company, never authorized and never have no idea how they got my card number. I had to cancel my card and wait to receive a new one. Just a pain in the butt for something I did not do.

I am astounded at the amount of people on here who think AIG is "hacking their credit card" or immediately assume fraud before bothering to do the most minimal research. AIG is a business affiliate of Geico. If you sign up for renters insurance via Geico.com, any associated charges will appear on your statement as "AGI*RENTERS/CONDO" or similar. Additionally, your renters insurance will AUTOMATICALLY RENEW unless you explicitly tell it not to.

This is actually the renters insurance payment... mines is affiliated through GEICO ... even though you went through GEICO AGI insurance is the actual renters insurance company

My credit card was charged by this company for renter’s insurance for my grandson’s apartment. He has moved out of the apartment he was in last year and is in a new apartment with renter’s insurance from a different company this year. What we did not notice is that the policy with last year’s company says they will continue to charge the payment until we cancel. Since we did not cancel, they submitted new charge. But a simple call to 800-370-1990 and a 5 minute conversation to a very nice customer representative solved the problem. She cancelled the policy and refunded the $155 that my credit card had been charged. No problem.

Honestly, I just called them and they refunded me immediately. Very easy process. Please call them before canceling your cards LOL.

I own a house, and do have homeowner's insurance, but I don't have renter's or condo insurance, and my insurance isn't through Geico or AGI (Alliance Global Group, based in the Philippines). Fortunately Discover agreed to charge back these fraudulent statements and replace my credit card.

Absolute fraud. AGI charged me $257.00 randomly in the middle of my current lease for supposed renters insurance.. I have never heard of them or done anything with them. My renters insurance is covered through my rental payment with my landlord. I called my bank and they said it was a "recurring" charge with no other charges... I was immediately refunded, and had to get a new card. These people need to be arrested. ABOSLUTE FRAUD!

Called the day the charge showed up to AGI renters condo, they said it is their policy to renew automatically unless you cancel. They refunded my payment and canceled immediately, funds were back 2 days later. Also provided me with forms to cancel and receive $ back for when I moved to a new place before the plan was up. Got a lot back and canceling was easy, not sure why my experience was so different but definitely try calling right away before canceling cards.

I do NOT have Geico. I do NOT have renters insurance. I own a home. This is a fraudulent charge. I called my bank and they are looking into this charge. Hope this helps..

Just got hit with 241.00 out of my checking acc. Never heard of this company before, thanks to them I have to wait and get a new one and all the pain in the neck to do when I get it. It looks like I'm not the only one that has gone through this.

Assurant renters insurance through Geico. If you had renters or condo insurance they will automatically renew the policy. Call (800)370-1990 and they can cancel the policy if you are no longer using it and refund the money.

Any charge from AGI renters/condo on your credit card is a fraud. This has been going on for 5 fucking years and NO ONE has done a thing about it!!!

They took $130 dollars, from our account. I am calling my bank today. this is a fraud. please be careful.

I received the charge today and after some research, it is Geico. And even though it states "renter insurance" and for me it's not a rent but an owned property, it is a legitimate insurance transaction for me.

This is definitely a SCAM. AGIRENTERS/CONDO INS 800-370-1990 FL. My account Status stated CANCELLED. The insurance that I paid in full. says they refunded me $-38.00. THE SCAM START AS they went to my credit card start charging me MONTHLY $15.43 cents every EVEN THOUGH MY policy say cancel, both on ASSURANT AND FROM MY GEICO ACCOUNT.
I did not authorize this charge I was not aware of it until i take a look on my bank statements. 15.4312monhts = scamming. That's double the price of my policy, which was set to expired next year April.

Well I just saw a 167.00 charge and I figured it was assurant and once I read through this link I was reassured lol so good to know and it makes sense since it has been exactly a year since I’ve lived here in studio city apartments time sure flew by

I get email alerts when my debit card is used online. When I saw this I freaked out, especially after reading these comments, but I called Geico and they explained it to me. If you have renters insurance with Geico, try calling Geico customer service before you freak out. I called them they said this is a legit company that they use. I get charged $75 a year for renters insurance, so that I can live in an overpriced apartment in Seattle. It is landlord who is ripping me off, not AGI or Geico. $1350 to live in a damn studio.

I received a charge from this company. First of off. I have renters insurance through AllState. I had to cancel my card. This was very upsetting and will be reported to BBB and my attorney. I will take this company down.

I got this fraud transaction on May, 3rd, 2020. I am sure this is WRONG because of the amount. I see many posts claiming this is actually something related to GEICO, but this doesn't make it right to me either. What's more, I think AGI is irrelevant to assurant insurance.

Do not know how they could have gotten my debit card number but they did and good thing I check my account weekly because they could have gotten alot of money from me at $126.00 a pop.

I thought they Assurant canceled my policy, but it turned out they do not register your account online for you (the way every other company of the Western world does it); you have to register your policy yourself. Only then will you have an online record of your policy.

THIS TOOK ABOUT 2 HOURS FOR ANYONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE WHICH TURNED OUT NOT TO BE THE BILLING DEPARTMENT. I CALLED GEICO A LOCAL COMPANY TO PURCHASE RENTER'S INSURANCE SO I COULD HOLD THEM RESPONSIBLE FOR NOT COVERING A CLAIM!! WHAT DO I GET . . . . KICKED IN THE TEETH WITH THIRD PARTY OUT OF FLORIDA. So I also noticed a charge to my account this morning, at first I was startled that someone may have gotten my banking information and used it. I know my car insurance is supposed to come out of my account automatically today, so before I called to report fraudulent activity I called Geico (1-800-207-7847) just to ensure that this charge that appeared on my account was legit. It is legit renters insurance, thankfully.

AGI is renters insurance for homes and condos. If you are/were a renter with Waypoint Homes (later purchased by Invitation Homes) they recommended Assurant, an insurance company that covers the property, as well as your possessions. When their charges appear on your bank statements it reads "AGI*RENTERS/CONDO INS 800-370-1990 FL". I have now received a reimbursement from this company and it appears the same way on my bank statement.

I never agreed to this. $263 charge! I haven't even heard of this company. I'll be reporting it to my bank and then calling the company directly. That was my grocery money; I won't be able to feed my kids until this gets taken care of.

We do not have insurance with AGI. But I'm not certain this is actually AGI - it could be any fraudster as retailers can usually specify what text appears in your bank statement.

Report to your financial institution and get a new card with a new number ASAP.
