I got a notification I was charged on my credit card. I do not what this is for.

Please tell me why this company charged my bank debit card for $104.78 and how they were able to process as a POS which uses a pin number. I want this transaction canceled and I want a refund.

This charge was reported on 12/24/2024. $226.06 charged to my debit card. I did NOT make this purchase. I called the same day it was listed on my bank statement. The person I talked to assured me that the money would be refunded to me, and said that she could see the charge and who made it. I have not gotten my money back or heard anything else about this. (In all fairness, my computer has been AWOL for a month.) Please tell me what is happening concerning this fraudulent purchase. Carol Neal (Ada, Oklahoma)

My card got a fraudulent charge from bcybackcountry ! over 300 bucks !!! I hope my bank sues them out of existence !

Please tell me why this company charged my bank debit card for $186.00 and how they were able to process as a POS with uses a pin number which would require my personal entry on site. I don't even know this company and have never purchased from them. This is straight up fraud!

Like the others on this forum, we had an unexplained charge show up in our checking account (with Ally Bank). I contacted the bank and they immediately deactivated the card and issued another. They suggested I contact the company with which the fraudulent purchase was made.

Backcountry.com looks like a very legit website. At the bottom of the page, it was easy to initiate a chat with a service representative. After asking for the last four digits of the card number, as well as the amount and date of the purchase, they were able to confirm the item and the shipping address (Leverett, MA), which showed conclusively that it was fraudulent. They promised to refer the matter to their fraud department. I'm hopeful the matter will be resolved and a refund issued soon.
