BESTBUY.COM 00009944 RICHFIELD MN

I recently got this charged on my credit card as well. I bought a memory card online, through best buy, for black friday. The amount matches the amount on the receipt I received via email. If you got this charge, you probably bought something through best buy online as well.

credit card charged $410.39 at the Redfield MN location, I live is SC, don't shop at best buy or have I purchased anything on line. Somebody needs to look into this. Some kind of scam going on.

I called the customer service number 800 237-8289. This is the best buy customer service. I tried explained to the first very rude and interrupting person that I have not shopped at best buy in years and she transferred me to another person who gave me a fraud line number for the bank to call. The service rep told me I bought a x box 360 from bestbuy.com. I did shop at target so maybe because of the breach someone got my card info? Who knows. Basically best buy doesn't care- don't bother calling them. I called the bank to give them the best buy fraud number and they didn't even ask for it even though I told them I had it. The bank will just cancel the card and issue you another one. So short answer is just call the bank if you have a charge you don't recognize no matter where it comes from and skip the calling best buy. They don't care and it doesn't matter what they think you bought if it wasn't you.

I live in NYC and never been to MN in my life but got a charge of $245.38 at a Best Buy. Called my bank and reported a scam.

$66.77 for Penske Truck Leasing in Capitol Heights Md. 20743. I need a copy of an Invoice & Receipt.

I got the same charge for 144,15 from the above Best Buy, never been their and after spending hours on the phone gave up

I got 9.99 charged and it is for my phone protection plan. I bought my cell phone trhough best buy and got protection plan so it is billed monthly.

I hope this helps those that see a charge for any amount from the MN store 1582. If at any time you purchase a contract with the Geek Squad you can look at the contract receipt and it states: "Your memberships are now set to automatically renew on their expiration date (Geek Squad Protection Plans Excluded) A billing reminder will be sent at least 30 days prior to charging the credit card on file. Geek Squad Protection Plans may be renewed at out discretion. Please note that some terms and conditions in the Renewal Plan may be different that your current plans' terms and conditions. If you would like to opt out of the auto renewal process please call the AARP Dedicated support line at 1-800-921-0907. Instruct the Call Center representative that you would like the auto enrollment removed from your Tech Support & Guidance plan and Subscription Software."

i had the same charge for 468.69 for best buy .com. i had my bank pursue fraudulent charges.

I got a charge for 1520.74. Amex caught it but the charge was from bestbuy.com 994 in Eden Prarie MN. Sounds like a scam, because multiple attempts were made. different person, but same address as me.

I called their fraud dept and they will have me file a police report. Perhaps using IP logs they can find out the origination of this.

I work at the Richfield retail store. Like someone else said, there are a total of 3 Best Buy locations in Richfield, Minnesota. There is a normal retail store, a mobile store, and the corporate headquarters. In order to process a debit or credit transaction in-store, we need the card. Our registers require a card to be swiped, not just the account number typed in. We are not allowed to type in the numbers without seeing them on the credit card. Unless you lost your card, it is highly unlikely that it was swiped through this or the mobile store. Even if you order an item through bestbuy.com to be picked up in Richfield, the store number shows up on the transaction, but not the city. Therefore, any transaction that says Richfield on it is coming from our corporate HQ. These charges are often Geek Squad Protection Plans or anti-virus software renewals. These charges come out of the HQ because they are not being purchased from any store in the country, but are simply automatically renewing. Keep in mind that some Protection plans are 5 years of coverage. Emails can change, products can be lost or stolen; you may have a GS protection plan even if you don't remember. The best course of action: call 1-800 Best-Buy (1-800 237-8289); a representative should be able to help you there.
