CFK*PF REWARDS

If you have ever used People Finders search to search for anyone they will sign you up for CFK PF rewards whether you choose this option or not. Call 800-718-8997 and follow the prompts to get a representative to cancel the program. I called the same day I went through People Finders to cancel my subscription and the agent basically called me a liar. Also, be aware that when the first charge showed up I contacted my bank and reported fraud because I had no idea who rhis was. My bank issued me a new debit card and low and behold the charge showed up on my bank account again this morning. After I contacted People Finders I was told they had a contract with Visa/Mastercard etc to update their database when a new card is issued. Stay away from People Finders!

Thanks for the info everyone. Similar experience, bait and switch scam. I did two introductory paid searches through PeopleFinders for which I was charged basically nothing ($.47 & .48.) I registered for a free 1 week trial and cancelled in time to avoid further payment. I was charged for this CFK malarky 6 mo. before I caught it. (Ooops.)

I did as instructed above and called them to attempt refund. According to them, a dual membership in CFK is listed in the trial details, supposedly saying somewhere (possibly amidst boring standard agreement legalese) that you need to specifically cancel BOTH accounts. I saw nothing to indicate these were SEPARATE offers requiring separate cancelations, but they claim it's there when I called the number listed above. The first customer assistant was quick to offer the most recent month, along with cancelling the account from future charges. I pushed to get all the charges refunded, so she gave me to higher level support person who insisted the deal was clearly displayed in the sign up, but she at least refunded me for 2 more months, so 3 out of 6. I got the refund confirmation emails quickly.

I called Chase to try to dispute the first three, and they said there was some sort of 60 Day dispute window with the vendor so there was nothing they could really do. Apparently I have to eat the $149 for three charges, call it a tax for not watching my statement charges - and maybe the trial agreement - closely. Good luck to the rest of you.

I had 3 different charges on my well fargo card from ck people finder. How can they continue to charge my card and it was a 1 time fee . It lead to me having 3 over draft charges at 35.00 a pop thats 115 bucks i got screwed and i want them to pay my 3 over draft charges and it lead the bank to shut off my card. Im on limited income, I did report them to F.T.C. so hope they take care of the b.s. from thieving people. Please file with the FTC.( Federal Trades Commission)

I called the customer service number 800.718.8997 and chose the SPANISH operator (option 2 in the menu). The English menu will not get you to a representative. The Spanish option takes you directly to a rep. Once there I simply asked for a refund and to cancel my PF Rewards membership. They were courteous and prompt and said it would be processed in a few days for a "courtesy refund" of one month. I'll have to eat the previous months charges as an idiot tax for not checking my cc bill more closely. I'll return to update if they don't process the refund.

They are getting very sneaky about it. I follow the suggestion to call 800-718-8997 and talk to an operator. But all the options in english just referred you to go to the website. So I used the spanish prompt and was able to speak to an operator. I then requested that any thing related to People finders be cancel.
