Charge with description HC* HC charge 7399 HTTPSHONEYCOI DE 19709

Showed up on my bank statement as "Shoney's" and even had Shoney's logo.

Reported as fraud to my bank and the fraud department told me they had just spoken with another person with the same fraud claim identical to mine for a different amount. They charged me $21.20

Canceled my card and went in to my local Branch and as I was getting a new card issued heard another customer talking to another representative at the bank about the same exact charge.

Sounds like it might have to do with a breach of capital one where money was getting funneled to Africa. Wonder if there's going to be a class action lawsuit.

I also just got this Jan 9th for $20.16 i think its a bitcoin/Crypto ATM. Im with TD bank and they have had date breaches in the past not long ago. these USA banks are getting rekt.

I have a charge same as everyone else in this thread but mine was for a larger amount of $AU 64.30 Will be insisting the bank wears any associated costs as they always justify their obscene interest rates using the "security provided"

Same situation for me, even the part about it showing up as Shoney’s, with the Shoney’s logo beside the processed charge (mine was for $21.21).

The Shoney’s logo could have been added by my bank — Regions — because of the HTTPSHONEYCOI part of the description. That could appear to be http://shoney.co(m) rather than https://honeycoin.eth, which is a Kenyan-based p2p currency transfer app that appears to be a front for a huge scam. HC = HoneyCoin.

I thought I had already taken care of the issue when I spoke to the fraud department about both an attempted charge for $2,620 and the processed charge of $21.21. I disputed those charges and canceled my debit card. When I went into my local branch the next day for a new debit card, I am so glad I explained why I needed the new card because A. The fraud department had only disputed the larger amount & that one was attempted with my card number, but failed and B. the $21.21 was actually taken from my account using my account and routing numbers. I had to close my entire account

Same thing 20.16 the first time and 4 follow up charges for 42.16.. scum bags

I am with Chase and experienced the same charge, HTTPSHONEYCOI DE, for 21.11 charged twice. Cancled my card and have a new one on the way. Apparently some digital token tied to my old debit card before the closed it was not removed and I was charged 21.11 again to the new card before I even got it in the mail! Second time around Chase confirmed this digital token was deleted, the replacement card canceled and yet a new card is now on it's way. From my understanding the HC stands for honey coin and is a known fraudulent entity. Chase confirmed that a merchant wallet called (Stripe?) was used to run the fraudulent transactions. Ask your bank to blacklist/block this merchant.

I just had the same problem with TD Bank my charge was $22.54 on January 9th. I cancelled my card now I have to go into the l branch and get a new one. Same description HC* HC charge 7399 HTTPSHONEYCOI DE
