What is it?

This is a charge from a company called Nayax LLC, a cashless payment and management provider for unattended retail businesses. The company operates worldwide and is headquartered in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Nayax processes payments for:

  • Vending machines
  • Kiddie rides
  • Air-vacs
  • Car washes

Why this charge may appear on your card

You're likely seeing this charge because you (or someone using your card) bought something at an unattended retail business, such as a vending machine.

What if the charge is higher than expected?

If the charge on your bank statement or credit card bill is higher than the quoted price of the product or service, the operator might have added an extra service charge for using a credit card. The extra service fee would be displayed on a sticker on the machine. Some machines hold the maximum amount of the transactions and release the funds after making a selection.

What else can you do?

If you don’t recognize the charge, you can contact Nayax. You can also contact your bank or credit card company and dispute the charges and try to recover the money.

I used the card to get air in my tires at a convenience store, this is what the charge is for

My credit card company notified me of a double charge of $5.50. I was worried for a second but I remembered after looking at the posts in here about vending, I had swiped my card for my friend and I to use those massage chairs in the mall.

was perplexed as to 1.38 charge on statement, then i remembered getting air in my tires at the gas station - that was the charge!

Never used a vending machine or got air for tires to justify a charge. Please advise danielmezz54@yahoo.com

I have 7 20 dollar individual charges from nayax llc 15. I used my card at a rest area vending machine. All i bought was a butter finger and now i have 140 dollars worth of charges

My wife cancelled her card , then I read this to her and asked if she put air in her car tyre . That was it !! ( Although it reported the location as Wales and we live innScotland )

7.28.23 use this to fill up tire that was getting lower as im driving to work it advertised at $1.50 vaccuum or air. had to use it twice - bank had it pending for $1.50 ea but saturday 7.29.23 it posted $2.00 instead of $1.50 what a scam - i called my bank to dispute this fraudulent activity. scum on earth to think they can to this to consumers

Mine was from laundry Matt 10$ x 2 for quarters I "facepalm" when I thought about it.

I used the card to get air in my tires at a Cumberland Farms. Got worried about the name and location of charge, but thanks to other postings I remembered filling up air.

I remembered this charge was for printing documents at my library. So you're telling me that Nayax doesn't say to their customer (the vendor) here is how to add your unique company name so the charge doesn't look like fraud?

The Vending Machines at WNC and TMCC are both using this system for your cards. Took me forever and a couple of freakouts and new cards to realize it's not actually a carwash charging my card, it's the vending machines.

Thanks to everyone who reported. Had two small ($1.60) charges on my statement, now realize that these were charges for bottles of water at my mom's rehab facility.

I couldn't figure these out either, then finally noticed they coincided with my office Lunch truck purchases - they use a card reader.

Charge appearing as "Nayax Amusements" I was concerned about on my cc statement, turned out to be the change machine I used at the laundromat the evening before. All good, no fraud.

I have been wracking my brain trying to work this charge out ($2.00), then I remembered paying $2.00 to use the air at a gas station (Cumberland Farms in NY). Phew!

My library must use Nayax to process their payments. I saw $1.50 from Nayax Copy Services, and couldn't think what it could be until I saw another user mention a library above.

I bought Dippin Dots from a vending machine at Launch Trampoline Park with my debit card.

Was concerned about this charge, and after thinking about it a bit more, my airport luggage cart rental matches the time and price of this charge.

Paid $7 to put air in my tires. 7 dollars isn't a lot of money, but they only sholuld have charged a buck. I'm going to bring my trash to that gas station.

$5.00 Airport luggage cart charge. Thanks for the reminder Dustin!

This charge showed up in my online banking statement. I remembered I swiped my card at the boardwalk so my grand daughter could ride the merry go round! This machine dispenses tokens. Appears as Nayax llc #10

So confused at first! Called the bank and everything but then clued in after seeing this that I also got air for my tires and it matched up perfectly.

Can you help? What is this charge?
