This is a fraudulent charge. Not sure how they got my number, but I recently purchased a hover board from a Chinese web site. The hover board and service was great, but they may have some data security issues. Just a guess.
I've received charges from this entity name but without hyphens. I was thinking it could be fraud, but I realized this entity name is abbreviated on my normal banking feed (which is why I didn't recognize the name) and then realized that the records of charges matches my actual Venmo feed. So this may likely NOT be a fraudulent charge. Check your own transaction history; if you don't have one, you may wish to start making one.
Just noticed this charge on my credit card for 84.40 from over a year ago. It says "VENMO 855-812-4430 NY" and the phone number answering machine says venmo support, but there is no such charge in my venmo account near that time.
